Waterfront Vacation Rental Property
on Orcas Island....
The Homestead is a waterfront retreat on the west-facing shore of West Sound on Orcas Island, perfect for a romantic weekend or family reunion for a week. Our two rustic contemporary vacation cottages, the Seaside and Blackberry, are tucked away on a sunny, natural 4 acre waterfront site.Sunsets,a private beach and dock are yours to enjoy. The Homestead offers an eight person hot tub in secluded setting with a lovely sunset view along the water's edge.
Small boats can moor at our dock and there is a delightful secluded beach with easy low bank access. This charming spot features rocky outcroppings and tide pools, the perfect low tide play spot for children and adults alike.
We have a row boat and a kayak at the dock for you to use at your leisure. You are an easy row over to Skull Island Marine State Park where you may enjoy wildflowers in the spring or a lazy afternoon picnic in the summer or fall. Pristine hiking trails and panoramic island vistas are found at Turtleback Mountain Reserve just a 30 minute walk from our driveway.
If a brush with civilization is needed, the village of Eastsound is a 15-minute undulating drive away, with time to take in some spectacular scenery along the way. In between, take your pick of the myriad boating, fishing, hiking, whale-watching, biking, kayaking and other recreational opportunities nearby. Or simply hang out.
The Homestead is child friendly. The facilities are non-smoking and no pets please. We have a two day minimum stay (three day minimum in summer). Call for weekly rates in the off season. Low season rates in effect September 21-May 24. We accept checks,VISA and MasterCard.
